For the Captains, every voyage is a statement. Sailing out of the Missouri River bluffs into enemy waters in Des Moines, the crew carries the flag of Council Bluffs into the heart of the state — and they don't sail without intent to conquer.

The Stakes
Born on the Missouri River, in the bluffs of the Loess Hills in 2024, CB Captains FC have already proven that Council Bluffs deserves a seat at the UPSL table. Led by Skipper César Durán, the crew is battle-hardened and sailing with a hunger that no rival port can quench. The 2026 season is the voyage they've been charting since day one.
Iowa has never had an intrastate semi-pro fixture quite like this. The Corn Clásico fills that gap — a genuine derby for the Heartland, connecting the Missouri River corridor to the state capital. What starts as a single fixture on the 2026 calendar is destined to grow into one of the defining matchups in the UPSL's north-central territory.
